21/12/2014 And finally… the last update about Maya ruins in Mexico! It ended with my favorite of them all, the city of Becan. Located very close to Xpujil, it is not as remote as Calakmul, but nevertheless only a few people go there. Check out this post to find out why it turned out to be my favorite in the end.
19/12/2014 Turns out the west of El Salvador features some pretty amazing little villages, especially the one that I am staying in now, Juayúa. People here are so friendly and I can barely see any tourists at all on the beautiful streets. I will leave today heading to the El Imposible National Park; but before I do so, check out the update about one of my highlights in the Yucatan: The remote ruins of Calakmul, once one of the biggest cities of the Maya!
17/12/2014 Another quick update from Mexico, only two more and I am ready to provide some pictures from Belize 🙂 Together with some Couchsurfers, I visited the Dzibilchaltun & Uxmal Maya ruins close to Merida. Right now I am actually in El Salvador and just came back from climbing yet another volcano here!
13/12/2014 The 2nd part of my Greenland Videos delayed my live updates a bit, sorry about that! I am currently in Antigua Guatemala and just came back from an amazing climb to Volcan Acatenango, overlooking the very active Volcan Fuego. Check out my Instagram Picture for a little preview before I get my hands on a report! In the meanwhile, I hope you will enjoy some more pictures from Yucatan’s Maya temples and Cenotes in this post 🙂
06/12/2014 And another quick update from Mexico! This time I will just leave you with the pictures from the Maya ruins in Coba and the Gran Cenote as I have to get ready for a full moon trek up Volcan Santa María (3.772m) now 🙂
04/12/2014 I arrived in Xela (Quetzaltenango, Guatemala) to work on my Spanish and can finally do some catching up with my live reports! Cancun was the start of my 11-day long trip through Mexico, checking out various Maya temples and Cenotes.This is the first out of six live updates and I will try to get the rest out as soon as I can, promise! 🙂
27/11/2014 Toronto turned out to be a really nice city with great skyline views and some nature retreats as well. I quiet enjoyed my time there, even if I ended up rushing through the highways to catch my next flight in the end 🙂
15/11/2014 After a few days of chilling at the beautiful Lagoon in Bacalar without any sort of Internet access, I just got back from an awesome day of sailing at the Caribbean Reefs of Belize to finally get out another quick update from Canada! One more and I will be able to report from the stuff that happened In Mexico! 🙂
08/11/2014 I am now in Merida and pretty busy planning my next steps getting down to the remote (and probably best) Maya ruins of Calakmul. That process leaves me with barely no time to update my blog right now, but at least I can get out some pictures from Quebec City!
31/10/2014 I just arrived in Toronto and it will my last big city before heading down to Mexico on Monday. Before I get an report out regarding the urban areas of East Canada, I now just wanted to give you a quick update about my day at a farm near Quebec City and my first contact with guns.
