Hello everyone, it’s time to share 2 news with you! First, I have moved my blog away from the free WordPress.com site to chrisontour84.de. And secondly, I was asked for an interview in the forum of what is probably the best known travel blogger on the planet: Nomadic Matt. Well, it is that special day of the year again – my birthday! Last year I spent my 30th in Greenland, this time I am in Brazil. Due to the fact that I was celebrating into it last night in Brasilia and a combined sleeping time of 3 hours in the last two nights, I decided to take it easy in Rio and will instead celebrate my birthday here on Friday – a much better day than today’s grey and rainy Tuesday 🙂 The weather forecast looks good and I will head to Petrópolis and Teresópolis tomorrow for some hiking in the Serra dos Orgãos. Turns out to be really expensive, but I will go anyway. So, onwards to 32 now, just another meaningless number… 🙂
12/03/2015 Instead of trekking around the Fitz Roy Massif in Patagonia right now, I was forced to return to El Chaltén after the first night! My Sony A6000 Camera is broken and has some sort of software defect, it always shows an error message and won’t work anymore. Maybe somebody here can help me out and knows a secret trick or key combination to fix it while I am trying to get in touch with the Sony support…. I can’t go to Antarctica without a good camera!! Thanks for your help 🙂
It’s been 162 days since I started my trip in Canada back in September 2014 and so far I have spent 10.000€. Check out this insight to see where I left my money 🙂
After some very exciting weeks climbing Kilimanjaro and cruising through the Serengeti, we now make our way to Zanzibar – the last stop in Africa before heading home via Dubai. Just like everyone else, we are here to relax at the beautiful beaches, drink cocktails and do some Kite surfing.
The second stop in Colombia led us to Medellín, known to be one of the most dangerous cities in the world during the reigning period of famous drug lord Pablo Escobar. I was really keen on visiting the city after watching the TV Show Entourage, and it turned out to become one of my favorite places during the two months in South America.
