Unfortunately, my father Thomas passed away at the young age of 61 and I left the Philippines to attend his funeral last week. We will always remember him as a man with a great heart and hope he will find his final rest. My trip will end for now and after some months at home, I will start a new job in London again next year. I spent more time in Australia and New Zealand (nearly half a year combined), but now it is finally time to announce that I have just received the stamp of my 100th country! It happens to be the Philippines and I can’t wait to explore all the beautiful islands here in the next four weeks. Today, I touched down in Brunei’s capital Bandar Seri Begawan and am now only 5 more countries away from my big anniversary of 100 visited countries! Today is the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I quit my job, said good bye to friends and family in both Frankfurt and London and just arrived in Newfoundland, East Canada, starting my trip around the world for about three years. I also put up a small video clip showcasing how it all began back at the age of three 🙂
