12/04/2015 Torres del Paine… Everyone who ever thought about going to Patagonia certainly knows about this location. It is utterly breath taking and I saved it for the end of my trip in southern Chile. Making my way from Puerto Natales, I came prepared with enough food for the six day hike around the famous towers. Check out this update to find out what happened during the first day hiking to Mirador Condor and especially about the unexpected visitor in the night, preventing me from getting any sleep. Hello everyone, it’s time to share 2 news with you! First, I have moved my blog away from the free WordPress.com site to chrisontour84.de. *Vimeo re-upload* This Video is actually pretty short with just under ten minutes! Vimeo originally deleted it because of some music I used, now it works though and you can check out how I was swimming with sharks along with some snorkelling in the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. And don’t forget to Go Slow… since we are talking about Caye Caulker in Belize 🙂 Read the rest of this entry »

06/04/2015 I left Tierra del Fuego and Argentina towards Punta Arenas in Chile and was once again blessed with a great Couchsurfing host, taking me out for a spontaneous horse ride on her farm just after my arrival. The day after our emergency fire at snowy Laguna Piedras Blanca offered us a lot of sun and perfect hiking conditions. Rene decided to return to El Chaltén while I was starting the steep ascend to Paso del Cuadrado, eventually spending another freezing und unforgettable night in the snow at 1800m. Leaving the Fitz Roy Skyline in perfect weather conditions behind, I completed my last hikes to Mirador de la Loma, Los Cóndores & Las Águilas before setting an end to my trip in Argentina’s Patagonia by visiting the breathtaking glacier Perito Moreno near El Calafate. I also squeezed in some of the Bouldering from Ushuaia 🙂 Read the rest of this entry »

05/04/2015 After my unfinished hike to Cerro del medio, I had one more thing on my wish list down in Argentina’s most southern town of Ushuaia: Go out for some Bouldering! In the end, I was carrying my climbing shoes with me all the time, so I was happy for every opportunity. Luckily, some friends of my Couchsurfing host took me out to some local spots about 30 km east of the town. Read the rest of this entry »
