Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai Cover picture

[06/07/2012] On our way back from Africa towards Frankfurt, we had the amazing idea to stop-over in Dubai for a couple of days. It was just when we landed that we suddenly realized why the city was so empty in July; it is simply put intensely hot and humid! Check out this post to find out how we still managed to have a good time over there!

Live #41 – Australia Video Update

Australia Video

[20/06/2017] I started my Australia trip in Darwin this June and was headed on a roadtrip to Lake Argyle’s amazing pool, El Questro Wilderness Park’s gorges & the Purnululu National Park to see the famous Bungle Bungle Mountain Range and it’s beehive shaped rocks. Oh, and some cute dog babies made it into the clip too 🙂 Read the rest of this entry »

End of the trip

Unfortunately, my father Thomas passed away at the young age of 61 and I left the Philippines to attend his funeral last week. We will always remember him as a man with a great heart and hope he will find his final rest. My trip will end for now and after some months at home, I will start a new job in London again next year. RTW #94, Valizas & Cabo Polonia, Uruguay

[06/05/2015] After a quick stop in Uruguay’s capital of Montevideo, I made my way to Barra de Valizas and hiked about 9km along a beautiful empty beach towards isolated Cabo Polonio, only accessible by walking or taking a 4×4 beach over an offroad track. Read the rest of this entry »

Clothing Gear Review

In my next gear review, I will be talking about the first layers and hiking boots after reviewing the jackets in my last post. 100th country done!

I spent more time in Australia and New Zealand (nearly half a year combined), but now it is finally time to announce that I have just received the stamp of my 100th country! It happens to be the Philippines and I can’t wait to explore all the beautiful islands here in the next four weeks. Until then, I hope you like this short one minute drone footage I put together from a rather unknown hike in New Zealand. Check out the post for more info and the video! [30/05/2017] In my second Video of Indonesia, I am sharing some footage of the Mount Rinjani hike, the famous Gili Islands including some nice turtle footage & the incredibly stunning Komodo Islands; which do not only feature the famous up to 3,5m long Komodo Dragons, but also one of the most beautiful islands I have seen so far! Upcoming: China, Taiwan & the Philippines

My time in New Zealand is coming to an end and I will be headed towards Asia again! While my trip to China is basically just a long stopover, I have some more time to spend in Taiwan before finishing off South East Asia with a full month in the Philippines.

Favorite Moments: Volcano eruption in Guatemala

For my second entry of the “Favorite Moments” section, I will take you back to November 2014 when I climbed 3,976m high volcano Acatenango in Guatemala and spent the night on it’s summit while watching nearby volcano Fuego erupt all night long – simply incredible!  Read the rest of this entry »
