So now it is also time for me to finally visit one of the world’s most visited area: South East Asia! Even though I am not really looking forward to the tourists masses in some places like Thailand, I did find some really great off-the-beaten-path locations as well and am looking very much forward to this trip now. I am already in Malaysia and will fly into Australia around mid June. Check out this post with my timeline and see if you want to join somewhere along the way! Read the rest of this entry »
When people ask me for the best trip I have done so far, my answer is always the Arctic Circle Trail in Greenland. It might not have a landscape as spectacular as Patagonia, but due to the fact that we had to walk through waist deep snow, it turned into a challenging adventure that I will never forget. I have written a German trip report for wetraveltheworld.de now and will soon start working on the English version and video for my blog as well. So if you can read German, go ahead and check it out! 🙂
The most common question I get while traveling full time is: “How are you able to afford this?” This post will hopefully provide you with some answers 🙂 You will also find out which region in the world has been the cheapest so far in terms of Food costs after 587 days of traveling and spending roughly 30€ per day on average. The year is slowly coming to an end and I hope everyone had a nice Christmas celebration! I am currently back home in Germany for a week and have just made two changes to my blog. Besides updating the “About Me” section with an end date for my world tour, you will also be able to sign up for my weekly newsletter now!
Just put your mail address in the form below and you will get updates every Sunday at 8PM German Time 🙂 The first one will feature the new Caribbean Live Videos, which I am just finishing up right now!
Enjoying the last days of sunny beautiful beaches here in the Dominican Republic, I will be back in Germany for Christmas in a few days and then continue my trip for New Years Eve in Istanbul, followed by some stops in Turkey and the Caucasus. Check out this post to see where I’m headed! Read the rest of this entry »
I had some time to give my blog a little update by creating a new section for my Live Video updates, even putting up some nice cover pictures for the countries covered in them so far, using good old Microsoft Paint! 🙂 Hovering over the new section in the top navigation bar will open a drop down menu with each destination and I will do my best to get up2date with the USA updates and then stay live! Maybe at that time I will also have my Instagram pictures on the same timeline…
I will finish off this year’s traveling in the Caribbean islands, starting in Trinidad Tobago on the 16th of November and ending on the 19th of December in the Dominican Republic. Read the rest of this post to see all my planned stops and let me know if you are around on one of the islands as well to have a cocktail on the beach 🙂Read the rest of this entry »
My new notebook will sadly be delayed again, but at least I made up the travel plans for the rest of the year! Really excited to see the Rocky Mountains and Angel Falls / Roraima in Venezuela. The beaches in the Caribbean shouldn’t be too bad either 😉 Read the rest of this entry »
Plans changed a little bit due to Passport / Visa reasons and instead of traveling to Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova, I will now spent a week of hiking in Norway during the summer there at the end of August. Read the rest of this entry »
With only 5 days remaining in my current trip through Southern Africa, I want to share my travel plans for the next weeks. Hit me up if you are interested in joining me for these European destinations during the summer before I’ll make my way back to Latin America after the Hurricane season! Read the rest of this entry »
