📅 July 24th, 2021 ▶️ The next day in the Northern Cascades of Washington on my PCT 2021 hike starts with a beautiful sunrise again. I climb up the steeply rising Cathedral Rock, fight my way through a lot of fallen trees and come to the biggest River Crossing on my Pacific Crest Trail journey so far. After enjoying the sunset, I am once again plagued by mosquitoes 😂 My last day on the PCT at Day 35 delivers with some of the nicest lake views so far at Glacier & Trap Lakes before reaching the first skilifts of Stevens Pass. I hitch a ride into Seattle and come to the realisation that this has been the end of my Pacific Crest Trail 2021 journey because wild fires prevent me from heading towards Rainy Pass, a remote 7 day stretch which would be too dangerous to get stuck in a fire. Once I made it to Seattle, I could not wait to take care of one thing that had been bothering me for a long time 😆
