There are a couple of new features on my site that I would like to present in this post. You can now sign up for my monthly Newsletter, the first one coming out on February 1st! I also got a new Destinations page, a new site logo and will work on more German content in the future.

My site has been on idle for a long time while I was traveling full time. I just did not have any time to do anything else than posting pictures and small reports. I am now working on a better SEO for future articles and added some new features to the site:

A new logo!

Site Branding was something I did not have at all. The sidebar on the right only featured an old crappy image of myself looking up in a mirror in a shabby toilet in Iceland, lol. Thanks to my friend Elena, I now replaced it with a nice round logo. I think it fits very well into the site and was something I just couldn’t get done myself with MS Paint.

A monthly Newsletter

With the new logo, I have also set up a new Newsletter that will come out every month and is designed to match the blog colors. So if you would like a recap of the most important posts coming straight to your mailbox, simply sign up by putting in your mail address here and you will get mail on the 1st of each month:

New “Destinations” section

I also noticed that this pretty important section was still missing. I only had my Travel Reports page up, listing all of my visited countries. However, it is a big list and I only had time to write content for about 30% of my trips so far. The new Destinations site will list all countries that have already made it on my blog in some form. It might be through a proper full length report, a quick recap or just a picture. In any case, I hope it will help you to find information on a specific country quicker than before.

More German content German flag

Last but not least, I have decided to work on a German section. Generally, my blog is written in English, but after writing a few Guest articles in German and looking at the fact that 40% of my readers are German, I came to the conclusion that I should invest some more time in German material. So from today, I will start on translating some of the main articles in German and integrate them one by one into the new section. You can also expect some trip reports in German!

That’s it for now!
