Live #09 – Horseshoe Bend & Glen Canyon Dam, USA

2_video_live_updates

We had two more stops in Arizona before crossing over into Utah. While Horseshoe Bend was as amazing as it looked on the many pictures I’ve seen before, the Glen Canyon Dam next to the small town of Page was actually a big surprise, offering great views into the deep canyon with it’s green water and dam.

New Live Section is up!

live-videosI had some time to give my blog a little update by creating a new section for my Live Video updates, even putting up some nice cover pictures for the countries covered in them so far, using good old Microsoft Paint! 🙂 Hovering over the new section in the top navigation bar will open a drop down menu with each destination and I will do my best to get up2date with the USA updates and then stay live! Maybe at that time I will also have my Instagram pictures on the same timeline…

Heading out north of Vancouver, I made my way to Squamish and even though I was not able to do any climbing, I did hike up the great Panorama Ridge just next to the Black Tusk, overlooking Garibaldi Lake. It was a great hike with a nice surprise in the morning 🙂

Live Update No. 3 reports from Jasper and Banff’s Neighboring Yoho National Park. After looping around Emerald Lake, I was dropped at the Wapta Falls to continue the trip on my own from there, hitch hiking for the first time in Western Canada. Turns out it’s just as easy as in the east..
