
[27/01/2017] I have finally made it into South East Asia, entering through Malaysia’s Capital of Kuala Lumpur! The Petronas Towers are surely great to look at, but I had to get out into the nature quickly again and spent a few days on the Perhentian Islands before finishing it off at the Teluk Cempedak Beach. Great start!

[13/12/2016] Welcome to the Dominican Republic, the final episode of my sailing trip and host of the best beach I came across in the Caribbean: Bahia de Las Aguilas! Simply amazing water and certainly worth the hiking effort it takes to get there. You will also see more palm tree covered beaches from Playa Madame and Samana as well as the Limon waterfall. [09/12/2016] Slowly coming to an end on our sailing trip through the Caribbean, we were kicked out of the boat from our ex marine colonel captain in Antigua & Barbuda! Reporting him to the police, we eventually made it to Sint Maarten though and could see the famous Maho Beach and a big AirFrance touching down.

[06/12/2016] In this Caribbean’s episode, we were hitch hiking through Antigua and Barbuda on our way to see a natural rock called Devil’s Bridge. The days at sea on our Yacht pleased us with great weather and we were gaining more and more sailing experience!

Since I started to travel full time around the world in 2014, I have learnt to only pack essential items and would like to offer a view inside my Backpack. I am traveling across all kinds of climate zones, so having light-weight equipment is paramount and I can recommend all the items in the list after using them for years now. [05/12/2016] The Island of Dominica is known to be a heaven for hikers. Sadly we did not have much time again, but we still managed to reach the Boiling Lake, the second biggest natural hot pool in the world! You also get a chance to see our beloved captain Marlen for the first time on camera 🙂
