Arriving on Crete Island – Heraklion and Malia First Impressions

Welcome to my new “Travel With Me” section in which I will provide near-live videos from my current location! I have arrived in Greece about one and a half week ago and while struggling with the WiFi connections here, I finally got this first Part uploaded. The short video covers my first Impressions from sunny Herakion, the capital of crete island, as well as the first day in grey and cloudy Malia, just before big torrential rains came in and resulting in a huge flooding! I will cover that topic in detail in the second part and plan to upload it on Thursday – so keep an eye out for it 😁

Volcan Telica Nicaragua & Volcano Boarding on Cerro Negro

The active Volcan Telica in Nicaragua looks absolutely perfect when you approach it from a hike starting in Leon city. I have spent a night there to look down into the crater and see the red lava, followed up by a fun day nearby doing Volcano Boarding on Cerro Negro. Antarctica Classic Cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula

Whenever I’m asked which one has been my favorite trip so far, there is always one place that pops up in my mind: Antarctica. The seventh continent is such a unique and special place and going there on a cruise ship would be a highlight of everyone’s life. I spent 11 days in total and with 4 of them used to cross the Drake Passage, we had 7 days left to explore the Lemaire & Neumayer Channels, Paradise Bay, Cuverville Island, Deception Island and Half Moon Island. You will see a lot of Icebergs, arctic seals and whales in this video!

Namib desert highlights // Sand dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei in Namibia

Exploring the sand dunes of Sossusvlei in the Namib desert of Namibia back in 2016 has been a great experience. We were self-driving in our 4×4, trying not to get stuck in the sand and explored the Sesriem canyon before driving into Sossusvlei to see the dead trees of Deadvlei. Hiking Meesapulimala mountain and harvesting tea in Munnar, India.

I still have very fond memories of this trip back in 2016 together with Adam and our “Mommy” – both fellow travelers that I have met in India and we then decided to travel together. We had such a blast and I think you can tell from that video! Check out how we learned how to harvest tea in Munnar and eventually climbed up to cloudy Meesapulimala mountain (2,640 m).

Exploring the active Mount Bromo volcano in Indonesia.

Mount Bromo in Indonesia is one of the most scenic active volcanoes you can explore in all of South East Asia! From hiking up to the famous viewpoints looking down into the Sea of Sand, sleeping in a tent with one of the best views possible and lastly getting up close on top of the rim of Mt Bromo was just an awesome experience! I’ve experimented a bit with the editing here as well using dub step music and fast cuts, let me know what you think of it in the comments 🙂

Wildlife encounters in the Pantanal Wetlands of Brazil.

24 Sep September 24

The Pantanal is a huge wetland area the size of the UK, mostly located within Brazil. You can either enter it from the south (via Campo Grande) or the north (via Cuiabá) and this video covers our entry from the south side through the village of Poconé. Be prepared for a lot of Wildlife encounters, especially with the Yacare caimans! I have visited the Pantanal in May 2015 and sadly did not manage to see any Jaguars. Go from June and November for the best chances to spot the big cats! I hope you like this video on the Pantanal Brazil wildlife 🙂

Things to do in Salzburg, Austria.

Being locked down for about half a year already due to the Corona virus, I could finally make it out to a trip to Austria. In this video, I will be covering the beautiful town of Salzburg right next to the border of Germany including shots from Mönchsberg, Hellbrunn, Kapuzinerberg & Leopoldskron.
